The murder of Lyhanna

The murder of Lyhanna

On May 29, 2026, a child is reported missing. A suspect is quickly taken into custody: the father of a classmate of one of his own daughters—a child he knows well. The media latches onto the story. A few days later, little Lyhanna’s body is found. Forensic analysis will answer the horrifying question: what did he do to her?

People are taking to the streets.

How is it possible that a man accused for years—and on multiple occasions—of sexual assault against minors has never even been questioned by the police?

How is it possible for a decision to close the case without further action to have been issued without the suspect ever having been questioned, and without any digital forensic investigations or a search of the premises having taken place?

How is it possible for case files to be sent in paper form from one court to another?

The victims filed complaints; mothers placed their trust in the police, the gendarmerie, and the prosecutor's office. And? Nothing. The cases were dismissed without further action. Just be patient.

It is appalling. This must change. Let’s take action.
